Marjorie Bodell Horn 1932 ~ 2008 Our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed away March 17, 2008.Marjorie Rae Erickson was born Oct. 20, 1932 in Salt Lake City to Darrell Wasden Erickson and Lucille Chelnicia Shoemaker. She graduated from South High in 1949 and married Merlin S. Bodell January 19, 1951. Together they raised four children. Marjorie had a passion for life, loved trying new thing and always seemed to master whatever she took on, whether writing songs and poems, painting beautiful landscapes, sewing, cooking or decorating. She will mostly be remembered for the pure love and devotion she gave to her family. She found so much joy and satisfaction in serving and helping them. Later in life, Marjorie married Harrison W. Horn. That marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple. After four years of marriage, Harrison preceded her in death, as did her parents and grandson, Stuart Bodell. She is survived by her sister, Shirley (Donald) Sims, her former husband Merlin (Chris) Bodell, children, Wade Bodell, Neal Bodell, Lane (Michelle) Bodell, Peggy (Brian) Templin and her many grand and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Legacy Retirement, Canyon Creek Assisted Living, Alzheimer's Association and Residence Care Source Hospice for the tremendous amount of love, respect and attention they gave her. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) where friends and family may call Friday, March 21, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
